Golf Cart Rodeo Challenge
Saturday, June 13th | 1:00 PM
📍 Camp Playground
Get ready for one of the most fun (and competitive) events of the summer! Last year’s rodeo brought laughs, teamwork, and just the right amount of chaos.
How it works:
🌲Teams of 2 licensed drivers (you choose your partner!)
🌲Each team will rotate through 3 unique golf cart challenges
🌲Focus on teamwork, communication, and a little bit of speed
This year’s challenges include:
🌲Obstacle Course Run:
Navigate a cone-filled course, driving in… then backing out the exact same way without knocking anything over. Precision matters!
🌲Blindfold Navigation Challenge:
One teammate drives blindfolded while the other gives clear, calm directions to guide them safely through a cone course. Trust is everything!
🌲Water Relay Race:
Fill a pie tin with water, race it across the course without spilling too much, and dump what’s left into your team bucket. Fast and steady wins here!
Prizes: Big prizes awarded to the top teams—speed, accuracy, and teamwork all count toward the win!

This is one of those big, all-day campground gatherings where everyone can come and go, hang out, and jump into whatever part of the day they enjoy most. Whether you’re here for the Bloody Marys, the games, or the community, there’s something going on all morning.
• 9:00 am – Donuts (Big D’s Donuts) We have longtime camper, Big D to thank for starting something a lot of you look forward to every weekend—what we all still call “Big D’s Donuts.” @ Party Barn
Start your morning the way campers love best—fresh donuts and good conversation. A simple tradition that’s become a camp favorite.
• 11:00 am – BYOB Bloody Mary Bar
Bring your own alcohol—we’ll take care of the rest.
We’ll have a full spread of Bloody Mary fixings ready to go so you can build it your way. It’s always one of the most popular parts of holiday weekends—grab a drink, mingle with neighbors, and settle into a great camp morning.
• 11:30 am – Meat Raffle
This event also holds a special meaning for us.
Last year’s meat raffle was led by one of our longtime campers, Big D, a proud veteran and huge supporter of the Lyndon Station VFW Post 5970. Many of you knew him well—he was always involved, always helping, and the reason our campground has raised thousands of dollars over the years for our local VFW.
This year, we will be continuing both traditions of Big D's Donuts & The Meat Raffle in his honor. He won’t be here in person, but he will absolutely be part of the day in spirit, and we are hoping for a strong turnout from both campers and the local community as we celebrate and remember him the best way we know how—together. All proceeds go directly to the Lyndon Station VFW Post 5970.
Last year we raised $1,669, and this year we’re hoping to go even further in honor of Big D and everything he did for this event and our community.
🌲 Tickets sold throughout the event - VOLUNTEERS WELCOME!
🌲 Multiple chances to win great meat (kept on ice)
🌲 Fun, fast-paced rounds with plenty of excitement
• All Day – Yard Games & Hangout Time 🎯🌲
This is your day too—make it fun your way!
We’ll have yard games set up and ready to go, and you’re welcome to jump in anytime:
🌲 Bags (practice for the upcoming tournament or friendly games)
🌲 Horseshoes
🌲 Bocce Ball
🌲 Croquet
🌲 Giant Jenga
Grab a group, challenge your neighbors, or just rotate through and try a little of everything. No pressure—just fun, laughter, and time together at camp.
This day is really about what makes In The Pines special—community, tradition, and taking care of each other. We hope you’ll come out, enjoy the day, and help us honor someone who meant so much to this campground 🌲❤️

This is truly one of those days where the entire campground comes alive. Kids get excited, adults get competitive in the best way, and everyone gets to enjoy a fun, safe, and festive fall tradition together at In The Pines 🌲🎃
